Handmade in North Canterbury
Laura Ward Studio is a one-woman bench in rural North Canterbury New Zealand. I make solid gold jewellery to order, using alluvial gold locally sourced from the West Coast of New Zealand and crafted using the ancient technique of sandcasting. This technique imparts subtle texture and variations that make each piece one of a kind. I also work with recycled precious materials my clients bring to me: an old wedding ring, an inherited chain, gold from the past reimagined into created contemporary heirlooms.
